Groovy Gardens is a local gardening service based in Sacramento, CA that aims to transform lifeless, bare yards into colorful, productive ediblescapes with the objective of increasing food security, supporting wildlife & biodiversity and improving soil health whilst providing clients with the necessary resources, knowledge and inspiration to pursue their own organic, regenerative gardening journey.

Khristine P.
Founder and Lead Farmer, Khristine, started Groovy Gardens in college as a personal project of wanting to create a Gardening Club at Sac State to guide individuals who showed an interest in gardening but were unsure about the process and to simply connect, share seeds, plants and the love for gardening with like-minded individuals. In the summer of 2022, she realized that it needed to evolve into a more meaningful project with a growing purpose.
Currently, she works as a Farm Manager/Community Food Program Coordinator at an urban farm in West Sacramento and has been involved in the field of agriculture since 2020, working as a volunteer, intern, and farm assistant in a handful of urban farms around West Sacramento and Oak Park.

Anthony P.
Woodworker & Garden Installer, Anthony, assists in installing raised garden beds, weeding, bed prep, pruning and planting. Anthony is a former construction worker who had previously worked in his father’s business as an assistant carpenter. He has experience with concrete pouring, fencing, metal work, building decks, building gazebos and framework.
